Owl Guardian Bell

Something a little different from the usual skulls, Vikings and biker designs – this highly detailed Owl Guardian Bell is made from solid 316L stainless steel and features a raised owl design wrapping around the bell.

The owl’s feathers, face and eyes are picked out in three-dimensional detail, with darker recessed areas helping the design stand out against the stainless steel.

Why an owl on a Guardian Bell? Why not? Owls have long been associated with wisdom and watchfulness, which actually makes one a pretty fitting companion to have hanging from a bike.

Solid 316L Stainless Steel

Made from solid 316L stainless steel, there’s no plating hiding a cheaper metal underneath. It’s a proper substantial little motorcycle bell designed to be used rather than just looked at.

This one is slightly more compact than some of our other Guardian Bells, measuring approximately 3.5cm high, or approximately 4.5cm overall including the bail.

Inside is a working clapper, giving it the proper ring expected from a traditional motorcycle Guardian Bell.

The Guardian Bell Tradition

Guardian Bells – also known as Gremlin Bells – are part of a long-standing biker tradition. Legend has it that troublesome road gremlins become trapped inside the hollow bell, where the constant ringing drives them mad until they fall back onto the road.

Traditionally, a Guardian Angel Bell is given from one rider to another as a symbol of protection and good luck on the road, although there’s absolutely nothing stopping you choosing one for your own bike.
